WIRSA is a proud affiliate of NIRSA: Leaders in Collegiate Recreation. NIRSA is a leader in higher education and the advocate for the advancement of recreation, sport, and wellbeing.
We are an affiliate of NIRSA: Leaders in Collegiate Recreation. The purpose of the Wisconsin Intramural Recreational Sports Association (WIRSA) shall be to foster and enhance the quality of recreational programs in various settings throughout the state by means of professional meetings, publications, the dissemination of ideas, and the maintenance of policies consistent with the NIRSA philosophy.
Founded in 1974, WIRSA has a rich history. The accomplishments and contributions of our members and institutions to the field of collegiate recreation have helped shaped the industry into what it is today.
