Executive Board Position Descriptions
Are you or do you know someone interested in serving WIRSA on the Executive Board? If so, please fill out this call for nominations form.
- Responsible for overall performance of WIRSA Executive Board
- Coordinating and executing WIRSA state business meeting
- Coordinating and executing monthly WIRSA Executive Board conference calls
- Coordinating and executing WIRSA Executive Board summer retreat
- Creation and distribution of monthly state newsletter
- Assist in recruiting new schools and members to participate in WIRSA events
- Participation and attendance in Region 3 Leadership conference call and summer retreat
- Attend WIRSA state conference and Region 3 Student Lead-on
- Participate in Region 3 student leader conference calls and meetings
- Manage all WIRSA social medial channels
- Assist in the State Director -elect with management of WIRSA website (student section)
- Assist the State Director with monthly newsletter (student section)
- Assist with the facilitation of the new members welcome at WIRSA
- Assist, coordinate, and execute the WIRSA scholarship fundraising campaign
- Participate in WIRSA Executive Board conference calls and summer retreat
- Create, update, and manage all aspects of the WIRSA bylaws
- Record and distribute meeting minutes during WIRSA Executive board conference calls, state business meeting, and summer retreat
- Managing the WIRSA Google account and cloud based applications (work with Historian)
- Responsible for the creation and execution of the semi-annual and year-end report for WIRSA
- Manage the WIRSA listserv, list of conference attendees, and WIRSA membership (joint with Treasurer)
- Participate in WIRSA Executive Board conference calls and summer retreat
- Responsible for the management and distribution of all WIRSA monies and accounts - UW Credit Union, Scholarship awards, WIRSA Executive board expenses
- Creation and execution of year-end WIRSA financial reports
- Manage annual expenses (i.e. website subscription)
- Manage WIRSA general ledger
- Filing Taxes for WIRSA
- Manage the WIRSA listserv, list of conference attendees, and WIRSA membership (joint with secretary)
- Serve on the WIRSA scholarship committee
- Participate in WIRSA Executive Board conference calls and summer retreat
- Serves on the Region 3 Service Award Committee
- Serves on the Region 3 Sponsorship Committee
- Assist in the coordination and execution of the WIRSA social a the NIRSA annual conference (Past-Director)
- Managing the WIRSA Google account and cloud based applications (work with secretary)
- Assist state student leader with NIRSA 101 presentation
- Serve as a liaison to the state conference committee
- Sponsorship coordinator
- Recruit new schools and members to participate in WIRSA events
- Participate in WIRSA Executive Board conference calls and summer retreat
- Supervise and assist the State Student Leader in their job duties - recruitment of future state student leaders and WIRSA social media pages
- Responsible for the design and bi-weekly maintenance of the WIRSA website
- Responsible for state awards - recruitment of award nominees, selections, and procurement of plaques and other awards
- Present state student award at WIRSA state conference
- Participation and attendance in Region 3 Leadership summer retreat
- Participate in the Region 3 Leadership conference call in the absence of the State Director
- Participate in WIRSA Executive Board conference calls and summer retreat
- Assist and mentor State Director
- Responsible for providing historical context for WIRSA Executive Board
- Coordinate and execute WIRSA Executive Board elections (electronically)
- Assist in the coordination and execution of the WIRSA Executive Board summer retreat
- Recruit new schools and members to participate in WIRSA events
- Assist in the coordination and planning of the WIRSA social at the NIRSA annual conference (Historian)
